Image of The Week – Tobermory

Image Of The Week Red

Tranquil Tobermory…

Richard is a professional photographer based all the way up on the Isle of Mull, so Tobermory, the small town in this week’s Image of The Week, is just a short car journey away for him.

“I shot it about three months ago,” says Richard, “the light was just stunning; I’ve been trying to get a nice photo of the Harbour for a while, using the anchors as part of the composition. I decided that I’d use a long exposure to give the scene the right calm, serene atmosphere. This image is actually doing pretty well selling as post cards now actually.”

Richard used a ten-stop ND and a 30 second exposure on his Canon EOS 5D Mark 3 and Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8. This was shot at ISO 50 and f/11.

The OVI lab team picked Richard's image which was being made into a Bevelled Edge Block.
